Recently, stem cell science has garnered as much attention as it has controversy in labs, courts and households worldwide. The field has promised us seemingly endless therapeutic applications and an equally daunting array of moral and legal dilemmas. Stem cell research is beginning to be implemented in clinical trials, yet there is a great deal of basic research that still must be done. The debates over stem cells appear in our newspapers and on our televisions, yet to the general public, information is insufficient and often misleading. This site was created to be the internet focal point for stem cell related information and to provide a medium to discuss and disseminate material.
